I myself can't get "crazy" out of my vocabulary entirely, but for me it's intriguing to see what happens when I try. Instead of "It makes me crazy" I have to say "It frustrates me" or "it gets me discouraged" or "I'm so upset because he screws up every time and apologizes every time and it feels like I'll be forgiving him for pulling this shit when we're both 90." It's funny how it's been so much easier to say I was "crazy" than actually name the relevant emotions.
I don't think all ableist language needs to be wholly stripped from my vocabulary (though using it as a name for someone = not cool) but the attempt to tone it down has been pretty revealing.
