Well, the statement that back then not everybody was a Nazi/a Nazi supporter is actually accurate.
It even goes for the Hitler Youth, because after a certain point, it became mandatory to join it - one'd only escape with backing from someone higher up in one's family. Being in the Hitler Youth did not mean on was necessarily for the Nazis. I know that many people today do not understand this, but historically, it really is accurate.

That said, the argument abou this misses the point, either way, because a jewish girl would have every right in the world to dump the ass of anyone who supported the Nazis. Only a complete douchebag would deny this.
