I was actually just looking into this, because I read books on my shitty old Palm PDA, and I was curious if I could put Amazon eBooks on there, and there's apparently a really simple DRM-stripping plugin for Calibre.
Haven't tried it out yet myself, because I'm broke and debit card-less, but a quick Google indicates others have made it work without a problem.
(I am loving Calibre in general, though, because I can just add books to my library and add the ones I want to my PDA without having to hunt through a windows folder and shit. Plus, easy conversion no matter which reader software I decide to try out this week!)
