I read that as a comparison of bad logic (that is, faulty syllogisms were the issue in each case), not as a comparison of Hetalia and Islamophobia. I've no knowledge of the poster or the fandom, but it's not unusual to bring in another example of faulty syllogism without meaning to compare the two situations. It's the particular logical flaw, not the heinousness of the situation, that's being compared. I do, however, see a lot of "are you really comparing this to that?" cries when people do this online, which suggests that most fen don't understand this kind of comparison.
