This reminded me of them, too, especially the attitude palereverie seems to have that the whole Internet ought to conform to 4chan standards. Izzanami/Ravyn/Jinx were very big on insisting that their behavior was okay on LiveJournal since it was okay on 4chan. I tried explaining to them once that LiveJournal hopefully has higher standards and that they were, so to speak, coming to a fancy restaurant with their McDonald's behavior and then wondering why people were upset with them eating like a pig and talking with their mouths full. They didn't get it. I don't think palereverie gets it, either.

I think the point is to be edgy and cool. A lot of people seem to think that the way you make waves and change the world is to be as offensive as humanly possible. Yeah, you make waves, but they're the wrong kind of waves.
