Harry’s not always reliable, but I’ve always figured that the white, straight, cis male privilege in the books came straight from the author. It feels like he tries to be progressive, but doesn't always succeed. (And sometimes doesn't try at all.) (I still enjoy the books, despite the problematic elements.) Post a comment in response: |
