Heartbreak & Heroines
Kynn created a RPG called Heartbreak & Heroines, and used Kickstarter to get $3000 in funding in 48 hours. Over on LJ, Jack posted his response to his ex's success, in two minds because he's glad someone he knows did something cool, Kynn raped him. A couple days later, alexandraerin posts as well, expressing dismay at Kynn's behavior.

Jack posts Tweets from Kynn and later, emails,. At some point, the Kickstart for the RPG is canceled.

Some responses are laudable. Others, not so much.

ETA: Kynn tried to get a new name on RPG post-ban.

ETA2: Elf has a post about it.

ETA3: Kynn denies the rape happened.

Sorry, I'm just... not thinking this through. I'm thinking of what happened with my sister. She stated very clearly who her rapist was. Her rapist and his defense contended that it was someone else, and without the immediate proof, since the abuse had happened over a lengthy period of time, the verdict was that it could have been any of the people the rapist accused or the rapist itself and they had no clear evidence supporting it either way. So it wasn't that they were saying she hadn't been raped, just that she was wrong about her rapist. I have no doubt someone who is capable of weaseling out of a rape accusation saying things like 'I didn't know' when the person clearly told them to stop is equally capable of diverting the attention elsewhere.

It's possible I'm just projecting, the whole thing was very hurtful for my whole family.

I think I see where you're coming from now (It was the "her accuser" bit that threw me too, because I was thinking "But isn't she the one doing the accusing?") Not sure I agree 100% because I think this is a slightly different situation, but I can't put my finger on why, so I should probably leave it there.

I'm sorry this is so painful for you. It's dragging stuff up for a lot of people. (Self-included. No big trauma, but self-proclaimed feminists who don't know what the word "No" means are sadly not all that rare.)
