Heartbreak & Heroines
Kynn created a RPG called Heartbreak & Heroines, and used Kickstarter to get $3000 in funding in 48 hours. Over on LJ, Jack posted his response to his ex's success, in two minds because he's glad someone he knows did something cool, Kynn raped him. A couple days later, alexandraerin posts as well, expressing dismay at Kynn's behavior.

Jack posts Tweets from Kynn and later, emails,. At some point, the Kickstart for the RPG is canceled.

Some responses are laudable. Others, not so much.

ETA: Kynn tried to get a new name on RPG post-ban.

ETA2: Elf has a post about it.

ETA3: Kynn denies the rape happened.

FWIW, I have a post up about this where I screened the comments. There's been two sorts of responses which I want to mention w/out naming names. I don't know if they will make you feel better, but in case. One, a lot of people are afraid of Kynn's possible retaliation and two, some people felt they would be stepping on Jack's/moofable's pain to speak about it and they really didn't want to do that.

Not that it necessarily will make you feel better.

I've gotten myself way past triggered and probably should stop reading about this, because I am SO FUCKING ANGRY.

I think the second group do, but the first still worries me.

Not enough 'this' in the world rn.

Your post was on point and was one of those that made me feel better about the whole thing. Weirdly, rape accounts don't trigger me. Rape apology fucks me up like no-body's business. The few "what the shit is this" posts I've read have made me feel a little less horrified. So, thank you.

Yeah, me too. It was the rape apology by the friends and wife of the man that raped me that trigger the hell out of me. It was all blamey and shit.

So I'm trying to avoid victim blamey shit in this fiasco.
