Would it maybe be more effective to specifically boycott the Straight White Men titles? Leave the Bat-fams and the Supers and the JL and only buy the titles that have prominent female and/or non-white protagonists.
It seems like that might be a little bit harder for them to just write off as general "See? We TOLD you the silly wymmynz don't actually like comics" or "The reboot was just unpopular."
But, then again, I'm also not the guy who is consistently SHOCKED when the fans get pissed at him for things like trying to kill off one of the most popular comic characters of all time and, well, this whole fiasco.
