If there wasn’t any main women heroines in comics I wouldn’t have a problem with it. Because my main reason for reading super-heroes is fighting, combat, action. And females just don’t come into the equation when I think about wanting to see characters fighting one another, beating the crap out of another. And i’m the same with action movies or wrestling or fighting in any form, my brain just does not fonction with girls in mind. Bear in mind like anybody else, I had a crush on Kitty Pryde, I find Black Widow super-hot, and Wanda and Wasp will always be important members of the Avengers, etc…But it’s not important to me. Furthermore even the writers I find don’t write them too well. When they fight male heroes, it’s almost like they do it to prove a point to “show that they can do it too, girlfriend!”. When Spider-Woman beat Wolverine it was exactly like this. It was just to prove “oh look she can do it too!”. I’d rather they got out of the way instead of trying to show “that I got it going on!”. Life is too short to try uplifting characters because of their sex. There are stories to be told, Worlds to conquer, battles to win. That’s it. Hahaha I saved this comment to marvel at it.
