It's okay to be gay so long as you just do it to entertain others.
Hm, actually I think that carries over to a lot of things in media. It's okay to be a woman if you're sexually attractive but not actively sexual. It's okay to be black if you show proper deference, though sometimes you're allowed to be a Magical Negro (which is really deference in another form). It's okay to be poor if you look and act as much like the rich folks as possible. And etc. But never think you can be the main character in your own life -- that's not what you're here for.
