Except in this case, I think most of the people who are likely to complain are informed as to the content - thanks to the wonder of the internet, and scans, or picking up the issue in a comic shop and then quickly putting it back down in horror and/or disgust. Possibly more informed than the people at DC putting out this tripe.
There probably is a little bit of mob mentality and second- or third-hand repetition re: the unseen going on, but IMO it's small compared to the institutional FAIL and deafness (tone and otherwise) on the other side.
