I'm so glad Hollywood is taking another iconic story and stripping it of everything that makes it, you know, iconic.
Right?! I remember when "The Last Airbender" came out, everyone was like: so you stripped the culture, the humor, the amazing fighting sequences, and any emotional depth. Congrats on taking out everything that made it popular. This is why I tend to be suspicious of the whole "The only color Hollywood cares about is green!" mantra, because I don't know if I can believe that everyone up top is dumb enough to not understand that these things they are adapting were already popular with POC leads.
