This is like a total 180 to my head canon (the one where everyone sort of lives happily ever after! kinda) but I like that interpretation a lot. As bad end AUs go, it makes a scary amount of sense. And it IS plausible considering Illidan got Gul'dan's memories in at least two cases that we know of. The way the Cipher of Damnation chain ended also takes on a scary kind of relevance in this scenario, because Gul'dan!Illidan would have the perfect setup to get Kael out of his hair (it also makes A'dal and the Sha'tar somewhat of a patsy, which is kinda interesting). I mean this is pretty much the only way I could ever buy what went down in BC at face value. Post a comment in response: |
