My experience is that packages are only quicker if they're going to be used largely as-is. As soon as you start trying to make lots of functionality changes, even in open source stuff, you can get heavily bogged down. I tend to find that packages usually end up adding time into a project rather than making my life easier. Post a comment in response: |
