They're mad at the guy because he's taking care of someone he loves who has a very dangerous, very debilitating illness.
My grandfather died of brain cancer -- he lasted about four times as long as the diagnosis gave him, but you can't beat that type -- and the whole extended family was pitching in and getting worn out helping him out by the end, with my grandmother of course doing more than anyone and dealing with incredible amounts of stress and grief and can I just say that brain cancer is really horrible, too? In short: FUCK YOU, INTERNET ASSHOLES, STOP WHINING ABOUT YOUR STUPID TV SHOWS AND LEARN COMPASSION.
