I would ask "If she wants Charles up and walking around, why not just AU the beach showdown?" but judging from this, I'm not sure ifleandralocke is capable of grasping the concept of "two characters settling their philosophical differences in a mature and civil manner." But her attitude would be offensive whatever she happened to be writing.
I know that the moral outlook of the source material has precious little to do with the behavior of the fanbase, and X-Men: First Class had problematic aspects, but still - it's rather distressing to see someone so vehemently anti-"political correctness" writing fanfiction for a story that's supposed to be about prejudice.*
*Well, prejudice, superhero battles, fanservice, homoerotic subtext, and Erik's epic manpain.
