It sounds kind of like when people get all jealous of depressed people because of "depressive realism", not realizing how much it sucks to see things realistically

This is such an odd statement to me. Non-depressed people are "all jealous" of depressed people, because depressed people see things "realistically?" Where does this happen?

I mean, I know when I'm depressed, I'm certainly not seeing things realistically.
