Lessons from bronies: Removing ableist stereotypes is intolerant!
Remember the backlash when an episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic portrayed fan-favorite Ditzy/"Derpy" as "humorously" mentally challenged? Well, the concerns were heard, and the voice changed!

Aaaaand now some bronies are crying "ruined FOREVER!". To the tune of "not liking our insensitivity is intolerant!"

So, everyone who can now watch the clip without cringeing, you're harshing someone's squee, and that's terrible.

Yeah, to make the toys more 'show authentic' IE the kind of action figures you can barely play with.

Kids fuckin' love brushable hair on their toys. You know, who the show and toys are really made for. Not hateful twenty something men*.

*not saying that adults can't like kids toys. But you got to remember who it's actually for, right?

No, you've got it all wrong. Kids don't care about brushable hair. Girls do. Girls aren't kids, they're girls, and they don't count.

fuck. I keep forgetting that. There's toys for people/kids, and there's toys for girls.

I really loved that. You had all sorts of tiny combs and brushes to work the hair with, it was fun!

Sure, adults can like toys, but they shouldn't argue that toys should only be made with their interests in mind. The whole franchise wouldn't even exist without ponies being bought for children. Even bronies should be able to wrap their head around that one.

Yes! Well, until the day you pulled out a tail that had too tough a knot. 'NOOOO!'

On the facebook, I saw some saying that *they* were actually the primary audience that should be catered to.

My sister used to cut those things with scissors. Many "NOOOOOOOS" were had.

Entitlement in its purest form.

The feed actually started to, after a bit. It was gross, if only because of what their injokes were.

Yeah, I did that too. I had a lot of ponies with mohawks and short, bristly tails. They matched my buzz-cut Barbies, so it all worked out.

That sounds cute, actually.

In my case, my sister didn't really do buzz-cuts or mohawks, just random cutting. Looked very uneven.

Heh, all of mine started out as an uneven mess. It was my attempts to even everything out that lead to the buzz-cuts and mohawks. One of my Barbies did end up with a cute bob haircut instead, but that was a happy accident and I was never able to recreate it no matter how many times I tried.

Damn, I watch a show for girls, because I like that it's different from the 64764764764 things aimed at twenty-something-old men. Why they want everything to be the same?

Why they want everything to be the same?

Because if it's not, their dicks will fall off.
