Personally, I also think that Suzanne Collins could’ve done a better job introducing these characters. She missed the fact that the majority of her readers would need to have it HAMMERED IN that they were black. Not just delicately mentioned

Um. WTF. It's the author's fault that some of her readers can't read? (I do not believe it's "the majority" just because of some assholes on Twitter.)

And I can see that going over real well. Treat the people who aren't white as "other" by dwelling on it constantly. Yeah, what a great idea.
