It makes you wonder, really. Octavia Spencer got an Oscar (and I'm not saying it wasn't well-deserved) for her role as the sassy spitfire Minnie in The Help. But Viola Davis, heavily favored for her role as the dignified, longsuffering Aibaleen, missed out. Yes, Meryl Streep, but it still makes you wonder.
