More along the lines of, "I am completely clueless about ESRB ratings and want to gin up hysterical outrage over the idea of chiiiiiiiiiiilllllldrrrrrennnnnnnnnnn coming in contact with someone not exactly like them!" Seriously, from the press release:

• Children and teens, who never thought anyway but heterosexual, are now given a choice to be lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender in their game player.
• Children and teens, who choose non-social agenda characters, would be forced to deal with lesbian, gay, bi-sexual or transgender characters chosen by other players.

....To which I was forced to respond: honey, if you think you're going to keep your kids wrapped in a hermetically sealed bubble where they never encounter anyone with anything other than arrow-straight sexuality at any time, anywhere, much less in an MMO...Well. I've got some beach front property in Arizona I'd like to sell you.

I get so ticked off when I see people freak out about the children coming in contact with game stuff. Even when they're not massive homophobes -- like, if they go nuts about video game violence.

GAMES ARE NOT ONLY FOR CHILDREN. This game in particular was made for adults, so going all "waah what about the children" in relation to it is like going "waah what about the children" in relation to an R-rated movie.

Also, anyone who lets their child play an MMO is exposing them to: racism, misogyny, homophobia, fraud, bad language (both swearing and atrocious grammar), anti-everything bigotry, rape jokes, and people who think it's cool to insult anyone who doesn't play a game the way they think it *must* be played.

Except the Republic has a major stick up its ass.

I think Darth RuPaul runs the most awesome cantina in the galaxy, and in the back is a place where you can get missions that both the Republic and the Sith would disapprove of. Re-unite this Jedi with his mom. Help this Sith woman and this Jedi woman who are in love with each other escape from their respective bosses. Bring assholes to justice, even if doing so will "interfere" with being an emotionless holier-than-thou jerkwad or a frothing megalomaniac.

What's with RPGs and horrible fashion sense, anyway? Rift has the best fashions I've seen lately in any RPG, MMO or not, and they aren't exactly perfect.
