In the 60 Minutes interview, Eminem publicly wonders if he was/is criticized for his hateful, offensive language because he's white. He also isn't homophobic.

Relevant aside: he wrote a song called "White America" about how he knows he owes his popularity to being white.

Naturally, it doesn't take long for fans to show up at the Huffington Post article explaining that he's totally not homophobic, and he is targeted because he's white.

If they said they were wrong, they'd have to make some effort to stop doing it.

Which was my problem with Eminem after I aged out of "Teehee, bad words!" and doing what my parents disapproved of. I grew up, but his music didn't. It's hard to believe that someone is saying misogynistic/homophobic/etc things without meaning it when they've been doing it for years!
