A. Legend of Korra takes place in a sort of 1930's Neo-Shanghai and that the creators are Stephen Chow fans, Kung Fu Hustle is quite likely to be a major influence thereupon, and...

B. ...the dramatis personae include four Airbenders (and presumably s fifth once Korra completes her training...

...one item on my wish list for the series is for someone to perform the Lion's Roar; Soundbending could easily be justified as an advanced Airbending special ability.
