Kickstarter Project vs Gamers, or: Why don't you think about the MEN?!
Tropes vs Women in Video Games is a project by a single woman to look at and analyze several tropes and stereotypes in gaming that concerns female characters. Sounds like a reasonable project, right?

Apparently, the internet doesn't seem to agree.

This goes as well as you think.

Did you see the guys who've somehow raised $2000 to make a 'But guys are oppressed in video games because!!!!' counter video series?

Because, you know, Nathan Drake totally had a storyline where he was a victim and he was only something for you to protect. Oh and he gets stronger because he was almost raped! Yeah! That's totally horrible-

They actually got money? I'm... really depressed now.

The thing that always amazes me about the "what about the menz" MRA types is that they don't even realize how reactionary they are. They never try to prove their point independently of whatever women do; they're always just reacting to women who try to make a point about social power imbalances.

If these MRA-types could see themselves, they'd realize how ridiculous and petty they really are.

Watching the husband play the latest "Uncharted", I swear the amount of dumb decisions Drake kept making, he NEEDED to be saved from himself. :p

(of course, that still isn't on par with attempted rape :-/)
