That's the thing that gets to me - it's not just racist, it's racist in a way that makes no goddamn sense. Why does the "dominant" race refer to themselves as "Coals" while the "oppressed" races are referred to by the names of precious stones? Why, if white people are regarded as so inferior and unwanted, are they encouraged to add their substandard DNA to the gene pool? WHY DID THE AUTHOR THINK THAT ANY OF THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA?
