That sentence was my favorite sentence. (I was also surprised to see that "guy" goes back that far. I'd thought of it as being a 1920s or 30s thing at the earliest. I think that makes the whole thing funnier, since it looks, to me, incongruously modern compared to the rest of the sentence.) Post a comment in response: |
