Supernatural anon hate getting uglier than usual
I'm deeply skeptical about five suicides, but do believe that someone is targeting SPN fans:

So basically what’s happening is that over the past few days an anon hate attack has been targeting certain blogs run by people who are depressed/anxious/suicidal etc. The anons first attacked the Supernatural fandom (queen-of-the-rising-demons is an example of this) we’ve already lost 5 people to suicide because of the attack as of today. In the early hours of today the group of anon haters started spreading and targeting other fandoms such as:

Doctor Who,
Sherlock,
Superwholock
Phandom,
Troyler fandom,
American Horror Story,
Hetalia,
Homestuck,
Attack on Titan,
Harry Potter,
and many more.

Now there’s rumour of a full on hate attack, on as many people as they can, regardless of mental conditions mentioned in previous posts. There’s rumours that this attack will happen on New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day. Pleasepleaseplease spread the word and warn people to either; turn off their askboxes if they don’t want to be affected by the attack, or leave their askboxes open and prepare for the fact that they may be targeted.

We can survive this, fandoms are family, and family don’t end with blood.

Starting some time around yesterday (yes, around Christmas, how terrible is that?), some anon (perhaps multiple? Can someone clarify?) started targeting blogs that are known to be suicidal/depressed/have a history of dealing with those issues with anon hate.
Many of these blogs come from within the supernatural fandom, which has even led to Mark and Misha commenting.
More importantly, though, this onslaught of anon hate has caused many blogs to feel unsafe and has even caused suicide attempts. This amazing post and this great post have listed some of the blogs that have been affected, although there are more.

chesnutmisha is very, very much alive. Someone hacked her account and faked a post saying she was dead. Please stop reblogging that post; she’s worried the misinformation will persist.

shudup122334455 has been identified as an anon hater (he/she forgot to click anonymous). Please report this user to tumblr and flag them.

4chan was another website whom some of their users don’t like tumblr users very much. A while ago, a 4chan user posted a fake warning from tumblr to 4chan, basically saying they would raid their blogs. (How, exactly, I’m not sure. To be honest, I only ever saw the screenshot. After what happened next I wouldn’t dare go on 4chan.). Unfortunately, some tumblr users saw this and thought it was real, so maybe like, ten people went over to 4chan and started spamming the boards there. Well, this was basically kicking the hornets nest and not long after, 4chan raided tumblr. It lasted two, maybe three days, and the majority of what they posted were gorey, pornographic, or otherwise disturbing images. As you may or may not know, many people on tumblr are highly sensitive to this material where as 4chan users apparently are not. They posted these pictures in the feminism and sjw tags as well as many fandom tags such as superwholock and attack on Titan. People on tumblr either went through the tags reporting people and reblogging things to help push the images out of the tags (that’s why I created this blog). Or if they just didn’t care they blamed everyone on tumblr for a post that 4chan made. Anyway, the raids have long since stopped and hopefully, it will stay that way.

okay, please, for the love of whatever the hell deity you believe in, whatever type of blog you have, reblog this. If this is true, all of tumblr could be at risk. We can’t afford to take this lightly- tumblr is too important to far too many people for this to be brushed aside.

	One person being targeted by these so called hate anons has come back from the dead like three times? been hacked and now has changed their url and pretending it never happened? In this case it seems like a good chunk of these kids wanted the attention (and in some cases were the ones sending themselves hate). I hate saying that but considering how furious some of them seemed to have gotten when people even suggested turning off anon or god forbid logging out. Most of the people being 'targeted' seem to be giving out their own url on omgeal and/or are getting nothing but well wishes because they've been 'targeted'.

There are people that have really gotten hurt, but no one is really paying attention to them because they aren't doing over-dramatic play by plays narrated by family and friends that happen to have their blog passwords.

	That's kind of what I was thinking. I've seen people saying they don't want to turn off anon because it means the haters win, but if they commit suicide, that's a much bigger "win" than just making someone turn off unsigned comments. (Reply to this)(Parent)

That kind of makes me laugh because my son and I are both on tumblr and once when I was in the hospital for a few days I almost told him to post something on his tumblr since we share a few followers. Then I realized how that could look, especially if people who don't know us reblogged it, and decided not to do it. (I wasn't even asking for stuff, just trying to explain why people might be suddenly having fewer pictures of German rock musicians on their dash...)

because this rang all my alarm bells for Fakity Fake, The Call Is Coming From Inside the House (aka: doing it to themselves), but this is the first where I've seen people point that out.

it's so refreshing to pop back to JF now and then and be amongst F_Wers who have been through this kind of nonsense before.

	So I initially thought this wank was hilarious and was wondering why a bunch of obvious pseuicides were being posted in the unfunnies.
