Inception unfunny racewank
Shamelessly copied from [info]wank_report. You can see the mice discuss it here.

[info]halflinen writes a pretty long Inception fanfic.

[info]the_moonmoth finds an exchange in the fic racist and problematic.

[info]godofwine disagrees.

[info]bookshop decides to school [info]godofwine on racism, telling [info]godofwine that "you may have the privilege of not being harmed or offended by images of racism in fandom that someone else of minority status *does not have*" and further explains that she's coming from "that cultural context of having experienced/witnessed Racefail."

[info]godofwine is an Asian living in the US.

fail_fandom anon has a lot of fun.

So does rivier: If a POC doesn't find it racist, it's internalized racism! POC anon lays the smackdown on her: "It's really amusing to watch white folks tell us non-white folks what we can and cannot think, what is an is not acceptable, what is and is not racist."

And Aja is certainly not offline and thus not replying or anything - she just posted.

I also would be most remiss in not pointing out Bina's RIMMING MEME, HOLY CRAP. And I feel it goes without saying that the world needs more Arthur/Eames rimming fics, but I also need to specifically encourage everyone to give Eames' ass a go

I am, I admit, prone to more conservative behaviour but that does seem like something one shouldn't be salivating quite so loudly about, right?

I may or may not be prone to more conservative behaviour (depends on the situation), but you said pretty much what I wanted to say. Ew. Too much information.

I'm like the complete opposite of conservative (I lurk on fetlife for the lulz) and I'm going to have to come down on the side of not wanting to know that much about Aja's Thoughts on Ass Licking.

We don't need her thoughts on it. She does enough ass licking.

Meh. I don't see the problem. She wants people to write about fully consenting fictional adults doing something sexual that turns her on. Unless she's barging randomly into forums that have nothing to do with it, I see nothing wrong.

Oh, I have no problem with the story. I have problems with how very tacky she is.

"give Eames' ass a go" is kind of an, um, odd way of phrasing it. Maybe if I knew her I'd also see more tackiness.

Well, this is the thing about Aja. She's basically fandom without any brakes: a walking incarnation of Id.

Now that it has begun, I hope we can keep talking about it, and I hope very much that you can see the value in having this conversation, even if you don't agree with the starting point.

Sure, Aja. Sure.
