I didn't watch the whole Katy Perry song but her outfit doesn't seem that bad. (Also I read somewhere else that the top of it is flesh-covered mesh like an ice skating costume.) It really doesn't bother me. I think it's people reading what they already know about Katy Perry into this when little kids are only going to be seeing the sketch.

I get what the article is implying about the True Mud sketch, though the guy in the sketch never says he's not a grouch or makes excuses for himself and I didn't get the impression that Sesame Street meant to imply that it's OK to judge people. I do see the point the article is making though, because the other people are scared of him in the sketch and kids will pick up on that. It really wasn't the way I saw the sketch, but maybe I'm reading into it.
