It was "post-feminist"! It showed the Great Truth that all women really wanted a man!

Okay, seriously: there weren't any other shows starring single professional women. The acting was good. It had a good timeslot. Occasionally there were some clever bits -- though whenever I examined the clever bits in depth, I started to get ragey. The "fat people are not only totally unfuckable, they can't truly be loved even by other fat people because they are so unfuckable" episode was the last straw for me though.

There was also an episode where a man broke into a woman's house and sucked on her toes while she was asleep, but this was okay because he loved her. I think they ended up dating.
