I don't remember much, but I do recall that Ma Ingalls was pretty terrified of Native Americans, and the family pretty cheerfully profited from land the natives had been driven off of. And I'm not sure that their experience with the black doctor can be held up as a shining example of open-mindedness, since they were all pretty out of it at the time. Post a comment in response: |
