Don't you know? Wuthering Heights is the Greatest and Most Astonishing Romance Novel Ever Written and Heathcliff is the Most Awesome and Loving Boyfriend Any Woman Could Ever Want. (Stephenie Meyer said so!) Obviously, they've never had to read the damn book. They probably just saw one of the movies.
