Actually I rather like Caroline Bingley. She's snobbish and annoying, but her treatment of both Jane and Elizabeth makes perfect sense considering she's in love with Darcy. Of course she can't stand the woman Darcy's interested in, and of course that spills over to Lizzy's sister. I'd want to keep the Bennetts as far away from Darcy as possible too. Also, Darcy was the person whose influence kept Bingley away from Jane, and whose blessing sent him back to her, not Caroline.
And when Caroline has to face the fact that she's lost any chance at Darcy, she treats Elizabeth well -- well enough to be invited to Pemberly. That's a lot more than many people would do. Caroline's a very realistically drawn person who's far from perfect, and I hope she ended up very happy.
