A fandom I actually enjoy! I know you are mostly joking, but do you honestly think Caroline loves Darcy? She wants to marry him, but I don't think there's any indication that love was involved.

And it's been a while since I last read the original, but I don't recall Caroline treating Elizabeth well in the end. There was a bit about the letter she wrote to Jane, but nothing about her response to Elizabeth.

(To be honest, I don't have an issue with Caroline. I am fine reading fic that portrays her positively or negatively.)
