It's fine--I don't mind talking about it. I *think*--and I could be wrong--that a pervasive sense that you are Going To Die of [insert cause here] is actually a common marker of at least Generalized Anxiety Disorder, which is what I have. I also suffer(ed) from a constant anxiety about loved ones' lives and health. I spent much of my life being deeply concerned if someone came home late that they had died in a car accident. It was particularly strange b/c I'd never suffered any major losses in my life, but I remained convinced that they were imminent.
My first psychiatrist called me a "textbook" case of GAD, so I assume this is probably pretty common.
