I'm a Snape fan but I never joined that comm for a reason. The man had ISSUES in the books and the movies. He wasn't perfect, he wasn't some woobie who just needed the love of a good woman(Lily, Hermione, pick one pick em all). I liked the character but I never could see how denying his faults was important. So, I see the Snapewank when it hits, I read, and laugh at it, and wonder what the hell the people involved were reading and if they got fanon confused with canon. But mainly I'm glad I didn't go there fandomwise, because reality is much saner.
