The more I find out about Harlan Ellison the more I regret thinking he was a great writer. (Well, I still think he was a great writer, and still is for all I know, but I really don't think I'm paying to read anything he writes anymore.)
(Not that I hadn't always hear iffy things about him, but there were more along the lines of "Eh, he can be a real asshole, whatever.")
