I've always read another layer of satire into Harrison Bergeron...maybe it's because I'm somewhat familiar with Kurt Vonnegut('s politics), but it really makes sense as a satire of the people who insist that any push for equality (or sociali$m, or social democracy, or lack of assholishness) must mean holding back the brilliant talented Randian supermen.
