I can only think of a few that spoke out against him: Kirstie Alley, Sherri Sheppard, and Emma Thompson signed the petition but then removed her name when many of her shocked fans asked what the hell she was thinking. But I didn't know whether Spielberg, Lucas, and Kastan were among the ones who spoke up in support of him. (Many maintained a politic, if somewhat cowardly, silence.)

	That makes me happy. Although (looking at the comments to that) I do get tired of the assumption that if you're liberal you automatically support Polanski. I'm pretty much as liberal as you can get without being an anarchist, and I think they should put Polanski not just in jail, but under the jail. (Reply to this)(Parent)
