Actually, there's been a few people Xena's said were the reason. Lao Ma was one of them, and certainly one of the ones that started her on her path to good, I think. There was more but it's been some time since I've rewatched the series.
Just to warn you - series 6 isn't as good as the first five seasons. Though, five is my favourite. It hit the right balance for me, but I also love three and two. Ah, I love the whole show. Except series 6, but I'm weird.
Seriously, do not start me on Xena, I'll talk about it forever. But if you DO want to talk Xena with someone, I'm here. The Xena Fandom is pretty quiet these days. :)
