And this guy simply doesn't get why people are getting so upset with him! It couldn't possibly be because he is acting like a spoiled brat with severe entitlement issues - nope, couldn't possibly, because he's none of those things, he's simply outspoken and TELLS THE TRUTH about how thoughtfulness is a tool of the oppressors. It's got to be because the politically correct thought police are twisting his words.
It seems likely from the content of the previous episodes and a few flashes of the characters in a ruined, flooded city that the ending would have involved citywide devastation and a tidal wave. And of course the only reason a TV station might have not to want to show something like that would be because it might alienate the advertisers and OMG that's CENSORSHIP.
