As it turns out, he doesn't approve of the sensitivity shown in regard to 9/11, either. No doubt because it didn't happen to him personally.

In his defense -- and 9/11 is something that did happen to me personally -- there are certain types of cultural response to 9/11 that sometimes, to me, make things worse. I've actually wrestled for a long time with what feels like this urge to "Nevar Forget" that comes around every year, and I'm someone who actually would like to forget very much, thanks, because forgetting some of the shit I saw that time is what keeps me sane.

Then again, I doubt he is thinking with any specific nuance about "9/11 sensitivity", so feh.
