It's tastefully done and is far more Higurashi (though not nearly as brutal as Higurashi) than MariaHolic. I haven't watched anything by this director I don't think other than dropping MariaHolic. To me, it reminds me of Bokurano. There's no sex (Unless you count a shot in the opening), but there is violence. There are themes of love, lust, rage, and probably Sailormoon-esque nudity but it shouldn't be ragey.
