Amen. This is exactly how I'm feeling. I remember though that even at a local Chinese festival, my boyfriend was glad we were away from those kids... until we saw some kids cosplaying in Chinese dresses.

There's one guy in particular that pisses him off. My boyfriend's Chinese (well, Amercanized but he has his moments and he's very proud of his culture) and there's a kid in his university that's known to be worshiping the Japanese and everything they do. He doesn't really care but finds this guy ignorant as fuck (because he really is) and it angers him when this guy all of a sudden started to wear traditional Chinese clothes.

The boyfriend is also a fan of anime but not so much anymore because the anime kids around here where we live also ruin the local Japanese festivals as well with their cosplaying and other "animu" bullshit. :|

tl;dr It's the same way here and my Chinese boyfriend hates anime now because of these people.
