GLAAD calls for apology from "Rob, Arnie & Dawn Show" for encouraging the beating of transgender or questioning children

The Rob, Arnie & Dawn Show (a morning show apparently heard in Sacramento and Reno) recently spent almost 30 minutes discussing a transgender child in Omaha, Nebraska* ... or, more specifically, how any parent worth his or her salt should handle a transgender or questioning child.

Here are Rob and Arnie's pearls of parenting wisdom:

"Hit him with one of my shoes ... I would probably throw a shoe at him."

"I’m going to look at him and go, ‘You know what? You’re a little idiot! You little dumbass! Look, you are a boy! Boys don’t wear dresses."

"I look forward to when they go out into society and society beats them down. And they end up in therapy." ...

GLAAD has called for an apology from the show, and gives co-host Dawn Rossi credit for trying to stand up to her colleagues.

IDK about any one who has already seen this, but I'm cross posting like heck.

ETA :
Link to audio OH GOD IT IS TERRIBLE.

ETA 2:
The post that this is C&P'd from says Ohio, but the GLAAD post says the teen in discussion is from Omaha, Nebraska. Either way, I don't think that will have an effect on the matter at hand.

ETA3:
How to contact the FCC and more

ETA4:
I got about 4 Facebook invites for this

Sonic Burger has pulled their sponsorship as well!
The GLAAD blog linked above also updated confirming that Sonic is out!

For anyone still reading (maybe I should make a new post about now, huh?), the radio station has pulled the site that links to their remaining sponsors. However they obviously moved too slowly :D :D :D

Emails and a list of corporate sponsors for easy contact! Go forth, readers! Contact! Air grievances!

MORE UPDATES:
NOW BANK OF AMERICA IS OUT!

NEW POST WITH MORE UDATES!

I emailed the station manager and several of the sponsors. Sonic has returned my email, stating that they've pulled their advertising from the station.

Pity that the nearest sonic is hours away. Oh well, next time I'm in the area.

Would you be willing to copy and pasted the body of that email here, so I can update with it? If not, it's okay either way. :3 I've found comments on blogs and what not confirming that too.

Sure!

Dear [My name omitted]:

Thank you for voicing your concern regarding radio station KRXQ and the show Rob, Arnie & Dawn in the Morning. Sonic wants to assure you that the views of this station are in no way related to the views of Sonic.

Sonic was alerted to the May 28th segment only yesterday and immediately began researching the segment, show and Sonic’s planned advertising on the station. SONIC in no way condones violence toward children and does not wish to be associated with media content that condones or promotes such activity in any way. We have decided to immediately withdraw advertising from this station and have notified the station of our decision.

We appreciate you alerting us to this issue and hope to see you at a Sonic drive-in soon. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me directly.

Christi Woodworth, APR * Director of External Communications * Sonic, America's Drive-In * 300 Johnny Bench Drive * Oklahoma City, OK 73104 * Direct: 405.225.5602 * Mobile: 405.627.1260 * Fax: 405.225.5955

P please don't print this e-mail unless you really need to

Three Sonics within fifteen miles of me. I know where I'm going for lunch tomorrow.

One of the two or three Sonics in my state is near my mom's house. I know where I'm going the next time I go home. :D
