GIRLS ARE ICKY!
Pedigru has some personal issues with Sims 3. He makes a post with the header 'Please stop forcing heterosexual relationships on my sims'.

His main complaints: His male Sim that he wishes to play as gay will still talk to and befriend girls, he believes that gay marriage is no longer possible in Sims 3 (which several commenters correct him on and he edits his original post), and the fact that the word 'gay' is censored on the official EA forums (this was actually fixed as a result of the thread, with a mod saying that censoring was a glitch).

Many people respond agreeing with him, and still others respond saying their own experiences in-game have been different. They've had no problems with their Sims forming gay relationships and eventually marriages.

When Pedigru posts a response, he clarifies his main complaint. It's not that his Sim is actually using romantic interactions with female Sims autonomously (he's not)... it's the fact that he's even talking to girls at all!

"My original post and concern was about the issue of no apparent relationship counter. I'm betting most every single response in this thread is from people who control their Sims' lives fully. I enjoy going to sleep at night and leave the game running with my Sims leading their own lives. When I wake up I get all excited to see what my little guys were doing while I slept.

Sadly, however, my clearly g.a.y Sims seem to start up friendships with girls at every opportunity. Not to offend a huge portion of the community playing this game but, imho, girls are icky! I don't want my g.a.y sims involved with any girls for any reason at all.

I'm going to go ahead and do an experiment then blog about it on my page. I'll control a brand spanking new Sim male and involve him exclusively with other male Sims for am 8 hour period (real life time). Then I'll go to sleep and leave the game running, letting my guy do his own thing overnight for an 8 hour period. Lets see if he has a boyfriend or a girlfriend the next day."

This ends well, as you'd imagine.

ClaudiaVanTramp: "By the way, you sound a little bit sexist and childish with that "girls are icky" line. I'm trying to be mature and not hold it against you, but to be honest I find it really annoying that you're so closed minded towards friendship in a computer game. I think all I have to say to you now is: grow up."

Pedigru: "I'll try to not hold it against you that you sound like a typical judgemental heterosexual woman. Nor will I mention the irony of your judging me for judging... oh wait... "

Yeah I haven't gone through all the pages. It eventually just turns into 'THEY REMOVED GAY MARRIAGE?!' over and over again from people who haven't read anything beyond the OP (and even then not reading the edit where he clarifies he was mistaken about that).

Oh, and also some nice good ol' fashioned homophobia, of course.

I think it's obvious why unfunnybusiness was the only choice for this. :|
