Target Women in advertising
I actually think this video is funny, but since there's some sexism involved, I'm putting it here: Sarah Haskins makes fun of TV advertising aimed at women. (Who's Sarah Haskins? I don't know, but I like her.)

The latest video is about insulting "fairy tale" advertisements, including one where a chronically single princess is saved from eternal solitude by some dude with a glass of milk, and another (by the milk people again) where milk cures the princess's horrible PMS (I'm not kidding).

Sarah Haskins is awesome. I love Target Women (though the grammar of the title bothers me).

I thought it was "Target: Women." Even in my memory I correct grammar.

Sarah Haskins is wonderful. Pretty much every Target Women has been awesome.

The horrific grammar in those milk ads may have bothered me even more than the blatant sexism. Not using neither x nor y? Seriously?! The princess stood in her castle, who wept . . .?

Ok, I found the exact quote:

"Without using neither force nor a sword . . ."

I've heard of weeping cocks, but not weeping castles.

My favorite is the one about "Your Garden," aka ladyparts. I laughed so hard at 1:30 that there were tears.

Not a date, no, but a friends-with-benefits attempt once went back to plain friends after a similar experience.

I have been following Sarah Haskins since she started Target Women, and I want to gay-marry her sometimes a little bit. She's incredibly funny and makes really great points at the same time.

She usually skewered advertisements, but sometimes goes off on things like Twilight as well.

Emotions cause sweat in women.

Has she done one on breakfast cereal? Because I swear breakfast cereal companies always seem to portray women as smug, self-righteous assholes for some reason. As a woman who likes cereal, I kinda resent the implication.
