American women over the last 35 years have steadily become less and less happy, as they have made more and more money relative to men. Women used to be a lot happier than men despite the fact that they made much less money than men. The sex gap in happiness (in women’s favor) has declined in the past 35 years as the sex gap in pay (in men’s favor) narrowed.

The fun of that argument is that these boys NEVER think it through, and thus never realize that they are actually arguing against their own position.

After all, they are right. Men aren't identical to women.
What they don't do then is follow it through logically. Men aren't identical to other men, either.

This kills their entire argument. The conclusion is that people are quite a diverse bunch, and that thus generalisations like "men can..." or "women can't..." and other arguments based on the supposed differences between the genders are bullshit. These differences between the genders aren't noticeably bigger than the differences within the gender.

In other words: Any political movement based on such a spectacularly incorrect assumption about human nature - that humanity is divided into two blocks of equal clones - is doomed to failure
