Wow. It truly sucks that you and your husband had to go through all that mess for no good reason because some incompetent bureaucrats can't even do their job properly and insult you in the bargain*, and I'm glad it eventually got worked out.

Mind you, now I feel really sorry for all those other poor people in line who also had to deal with the same idiots but probably didn't have any similar advantages that could help them out of whatever their own situation was.
